About

Miguel Silva

I started my career in São Paulo, building software for some of Brazil's largest e-commerce platforms — systems that had to stay alive through Black Friday, handle millions of transactions, and scale faster than anyone anticipated. That environment taught me something early: complexity is the enemy, and the only way to fight it is with architecture that was designed to last.

Over fifteen years I moved across companies, countries, and problem spaces. Leading microservices rewrites at Centauro — Brazil's largest sports retailer. Architecting the content management backbone for Farfetch's global luxury platform in Porto. Each move was deliberate. Each system larger, more distributed, more consequential. The patterns became clear: build for scale, design for permanence, or watch it burn.

Then AI changed the equation. Not as a tool layered onto existing workflows — as a fundamental redefinition of what software does and who builds it. I didn't treat it like another framework to adopt. I treated it like the phase transition it was. Today, as Head of Engineering at Consulteer, I design AI architectures and deploy autonomous agent systems across aviation, healthcare, and fintech. The stack shifts. The discipline doesn't.

But here's what matters: we're at the threshold of something most people haven't grasped yet. Not AI as assistance. Not AI as augmentation. Full AI workforce replacement — teams of autonomous agents handling entire workflows that used to require humans. This isn't speculative. It's happening now. The organizations that understand this are already moving. The ones that don't will be left explaining why.

This website is the proof. Every page you're reading — the architecture, the deployment, the content itself — was built and managed by an AI team. Not as a demonstration. As the new standard. The future isn't coming. It's already running.
